While you listen

ChirpTrace processes microphone audio on your iPhone. It does not save microphone recordings or upload audio. Listening stops when the app goes into the background.

When you share

Songcards use visual trail points. Video sound is synthesized, not recorded. Export files are prepared temporarily on your phone. If you save or share one, the app or service you choose handles that copy.

Purchases

Apple handles payments. ChirpTrace checks your Wildlife access through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment-card details.

When you write

Support email includes your address and anything you send. The app’s email draft includes its version and your operating-system version. No audio or logs are attached automatically. Email is used to handle your request; you can ask for it to be deleted.

The app and this site

ChirpTrace has no advertising or tracking SDKs. This site has no analytics scripts or embedded services. GitHub Pages hosts it and may process technical request data under GitHub’s privacy statement.
